Product Descriptions

We make every attempt to be as accurate as possible. However, product descriptions may sometimes contain errors or omissions. We invite our visitors to contact us if they see any such mistakes and we will correct them promptly.

Pricing

We confirm the price of an item only when it is ordered by you. If an item's actual price is higher than our posted price, we will, at our discretion, either contact you for instructions before shipping or cancel the order and notify you.

Title of Goods & Risks of Loss

All purchases on this website are made pursuant to a shipment contract. This means that the risk of loss and title for such items pass to you, the customer, upon our delivery to the carrier. The recipient of an international shipment (outside of the country of origin) is the importer.

Duties & Taxes

Our prices do not include customs duty, VAT or other taxes charged by the destination country. The addressee, and not Silk Story, must pay the duty, VAT or tax upon delivery. Normally, the courier will pay the amount and collect it from the addressee.

Damage During Shipment

If it is evident that an item was damaged during shipment, please have your tracking number handy and contact the courier immediately. Please contact us for assistance.

Order Acceptance Process

  1. When you place an order, we will confirm it by email. You can cancel or change the order within one business day of our email. Once released for shipment, the order cannot be changed or cancelled. Full payment must be received before an order is released for shipment.
  2. We will notify you when your order is shipped, with the expected delivery date and a tracking number. There may be delays for reasons beyond our control but we will try our best to minimize delays and will keep you posted.
  3. If items you have ordered are out-of-stock or discontinued, we will offer you similar or upgraded items or a full refund. Except for such cases, no refunds will be issued.
  4. Custom orders require full payment in advance and cannot be cancelled or returned.

Returns and Exchanges

Once orders are confirmed, they cannot be cancelled.  We cannot accept any return items.

We will exchange under the following conditions:

  1. A flawed item will be replaced with another of the same specifications. However, please note that dye lots vary and it is impossible to provide exact color matches from one lot to another. We cannot provide exchanges due to variations in dye lots of the same color.
  2. A shipping error on our part will be exchanged with the correct one.
  3. You must contact us within 7 calendar days of receiving your order to initiate an exchange authorization. We cannot accept, nor be responsible for, items returned to us without authorization.
  4. All exchange items must be unopened and in saleable condition.

Please follow the exchange process described below:

  1. Please do not ship anything to us without an exchange authorization from us. We cannot accept any item without an exchange authorization, or be responsible for it, or provide exchange or credit to you.  If you do ship to us without authorization, the shipper you use, at its discretion, may return it to you or may otherwise dispose of it.
  2. Please contact us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. within 7 calendar days of receiving your order to request an exchange authorization. Exchange requests after 7 calendar days from delivery cannot be accepted.
  3. An item sent for exchange must be in its original packing, unused and unsoiled.  Any item that has been used, stained, washed or altered in any way cannot be accepted for exchange.
  4. We will send you a prepaid return address label (US customers only).  For overseas customers, we will reimburse your shipping cost up to USD 40.00.
  5. We must receive your exchange items within 15 calendar days from the date of our exchange authorization.
  6. If all the above steps are followed, we will send a replacement item to you.  We will pay for the shipping.
