It has been a mild winter so far in Sydney and it has only just become cool enough for us to try out our lovely new Raeshmi doona.

I will start with the storage bag, which kept our doona neatly rolled up and easy to store through the warmer months. When we unrolled our doona, we folded up the empty bag, which takes up no room at all when it is empty.

The cotton cover is very neutral and of excellent quality.  I particularly liked the ties at the end, which make it very quick to take on and off for laundering.

We followed the instructions to the letter including the fluffing, but we did it by hand rather than in our dryer – which only has a ‘cool’ setting.  It sits very flat on the bed, looking neat and tailored, when other comforters have always looked lumpy.  It is more than wide enough for our king size bed, with a generous overlap.

Best of all, the doona is a dream to sleep under.  I was very surprised at how very light it is, and how warm – especially for the weight!  Partly because of the light weight, and no doubt because of the natural silk fabric, it is very cosy without being at all sweaty.

So thank you Arun, we are absolutely delighted with our doona!
